Step 1: Where to start?

Length Guide
Great Lengths hair extensions are available in a wide variety of lengths, to ensure a perfect, natural-looking blend. At a consultation, your stylist will assess your natural hair to ascertain what length of hair is required to achieve your dream style.
Step 2: Application Methods
GL Tapes or Pre-Bonded? What is the difference?
Choose individual bonds to transform your look for longer – the perfect way to add thickness, length or colour and naturally enhance your look, blending seamlessly with your own hair. Or re-style your look temporarily with GL Tapes.
GL TAPES (left): GL Tapes offer a more temporary solution and can be applied quickly. They feature a medical-grade, hypoallergenic, non-toxic adhesive tape which is placed above and below the hair by our expertly trained, certified stylists. Hair is then sandwiched in the middle for a discreet finish.
PREBONDED (right): Our pre-bonded extensions are a more semi-permanent solution and can be worn for up to 5 months, whereas our GL Tapes can last between 6-8 weeks and be re-taped up to three times. Perfect if you are time conscious – as application can take as little as one hour, whereas pre-bonded take longer to apply, but last longer once applied.
Our pre-bonded extensions, are secured in place by applying a discreet bond around a small supporting section of your hair.
Our patented bonds are made from keratin and designed to mimic the structure of natural hair. This means bonds will work harmoniously with natural hair when fused.
Keratin bonds are also designed to synchronise with your hair, meaning they offer flexibility and allow your natural locks to move freely whenever hot, cold, dry or wet. In effect, this means no damage and stress will be caused to your hair or scalp.
All hair extensions are applied and removed by one of our certified stylists.
Step 3: Maintenance – it’s in your hands!
To keep your extensions in the best possible condition, we always recommend using Great Lengths aftercare products. Designed to work with both GL Tapes and our pre-bonded extensions, they gently cleanse, protect and nourish from root to tip to ensure longevity and superior quality throughout wear. You can find the entire range, from shampoo and conditioners to a finishing spray here.
You will also receive a maintenance and aftercare leaflet to take away with you once your extensions have been applied, so you’ll have all of the information you need to hand. Don’t worry, maintenance and aftercare of your extensions is easy.
GL Tapes must be removed and reapplied every 8 weeks, and can be reapplied up to 3 times. To find out specifically how to live with GL tapes click here.

Step 4: Damage & Removal
Our patented keratin bonds have been scientifically proven not to damage your natural hair, so you can be assured that your tresses will look and feel 100% all the time.
Upon removal, no compromise will be made to the quality and health of your natural hair. Our certified stylists are trained in safe removal, and you can discover more about how kind-to-hair our extensions are on the Great Lengths website .

Step 5: Post-extension life
Once your Great Lengths extensions have been removed, they can be donated to The Little Princess Trust – A charity that uses donated hair to create tailored wigs for children suffering from illnesses that lead to hair loss. You can donate both prebonded and GL tapes to this amazing brand!
